Gourmet Gift Set — Unboxing Experience & Outer Packaging System (Sugarwish)
This Gourmet Gift Set was designed as a complete unboxing experience, where the outer packaging becomes the first emotional touchpoint of the product.
Rather than treating the box as a simple container, the concept positions it as a “storefront” moment. Inspired by gourmet neighborhood shops, the exterior creates an immediate sense of place, anticipation, and discovery. The striped awning acts as a recognizable retail cue, while the illustrated facade wraps the entire structure, turning the package into an object that invites interaction even before opening.
The unboxing journey was intentionally designed to build anticipation. The exterior sets the tone, creating a sense of curiosity and warmth that carries through the moment of opening and into the product reveal. This approach reinforces gifting as an experience, not just a transaction.
From a packaging system perspective, the concept was developed to scale across multiple product types and seasonal variations. The modular illustration language and controlled palette allow the brand to evolve while maintaining a cohesive and recognizable identity.
This project reflects a broader approach to packaging where structure, graphics, and narrative work together to create a memorable, emotionally driven brand experience.
